28 April 2011, Abu Dhabi, UAE: Two special needs charities in the UAE were presented with donations this month by Aggreko, the world leader in the provision of temporary power and temperature control.
The Manzil Centre for Challenged Individuals in Sharjah and the Future Centre for Special Needs in Abu Dhabi were recipients of over AED 90,000 each. The donations were presented by Phil Burns, Managing Director of Aggreko Middle East on April 28th at the Future Centre for Special Needs. The money was raised through a charity auction, which took place in association with the Dubai Rugby Sevens.
Mowfaq M. A. Mustafa, Director of the Future Centre for Special Needs, said: “Thank you very much to Aggreko. We are extremely grateful to receive this donation, which will help us to continue to provide necessary care and support services for individuals with special needs in Abu Dhabi.”
Phil Burns, Managing Director, Aggreko Middle East, commented: “The services that these charities provide to the community are vital, and Aggreko is delighted that it is able to contribute to that work. These are two incredibly deserving charities and we hope this money can help contribute to the work they do to better the lives of children across the UAE.”
