28 March 2012 - Dubai, UAE: Aggreko, the world leader in the provision of temporary power and temperature control services, is delighted to continue its support for a number of extremely worthwhile charities based in the UAE.
The annual Aggreko Dinner at the Park Hotel, Dubai, on 1st December 2011, raised AED 290,187, which has been shared between a selection of charities including the Christina Noble Charity Foundation (CNCF), the Manzil Centre for Challenged Individuals, the Future Centre, Sailability and the Angel Appeal.
This is the third year Aggreko has supported CNCF, a charity that helps underprivileged children by providing them with medical care, nutritional rehabilitation and vocational training. The Manzil Centre and The Future Centre charities provide educational and adaptive living skills for students with disabilities. Aggreko is also supporting Sailability, which gives people with special needs a chance to learn how to sail. The Angel Appeal provides support for sailors at sea, including enabling them to keep in contact with their loved ones.
Tammy Urwin, Urban Events Director for CNCF, said: “Thank you very much to Aggreko. Donations from businesses are vital for us to be able to meet the basic care and educational needs of the children.”
Julian Ford, Marketing and Sales Development Director, Aggreko International, said: “Our line of business puts us in the privileged position of having presence in over 100 countries and as such, we see the needs of communities who will benefit from additional support. Aggreko is committed to assisting the fund raising efforts of organisations who are dedicated to improving the quality of life of people in need. We hope to continue to raise funds for the charities we have been backing and with them, work towards making a real difference to people’s lives.”
