29 November 2011, Dubai, UAE: Aggreko, the world leader in the provision of temporary power and temperature control services, will be supplying power once again to the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens tournament, from 1-3 December 2011. Aggreko is providing temporary power at the event for the 12th consecutive year.
Now in its 42nd year, this major international sporting event has grown to become a highlight of the UAE’s sporting and social calendar. Over 2,000 players will take part in the tournament, at which more than 100,000 fans are expected to cheer on their teams at The Sevens stadium in Dubai.
Aggreko is providing a 9 MW package, along with all cable and distribution for the venue, which will power all essential functions, from the lighting of the Rugby Village to the broadcast of the games to millions of viewers worldwide. Aggreko will also once again be sponsoring the Aggreko Dynamos, the cheerleading squad that is always a popular and energising presence at the tournament, and the CNCF International Veterans Team, which will take part in the Invitation Tournament.
